I've been taking up Cajun cooking and taught myself to make gumbo and few other Cajun dishes. I made the creole seasoning for Sunday's gumbo (just mixing up spices, but I grew a couple of them) Anyway, the seasoning was perfect, wouldn't change a thing, but I don't remember how I made it. FUBAR!

FUBAR is a military expression. Translated literally it means:

ed Up Beyond All Recognition

But in use, it's mostly milder way to say, "Aw shit!"

There's also SNAFU
