I have not told anyone this........but a friend a year ago suggested I call a physic. I have been speaking with several ever since. Spent thousands!!!

Kept telling me that the guy I was with was going to marry me and blah blah....(got my hopes up) That didnt happen ........

So I finally asked them to prove to me that they knew things that I didnt (surprise-they could not tell me). So cant believe that I was dragged into this......(stupid) I know that they were full of it. DUMB!

Here is the kicker...before I put it all to rest I called a highly rated one. She could tell me details...scary....and has told me things are going to happen and they have .."word for word". What kinda car..what has happened in the past.... Details that only I would know.

So I am feeling sucked in again....Anyone have similar experience or comments?

Hi. To answer your questions on psychics and how good they are or if it's a sucker bet.

The answer is that it depends.

I'm into metaphysical intersts and I can answer your question in this way.

Because God gave us all free will, your future is always changing depending on what choice you make. When you go to a psychic, they're only seeing one particular future of yours.

Look at it this way. Say you went to a psychic in the morning and they told you what they saw for you that day. Now say during that day that you're faced with a yes or no question. Maybe the psychic saw your day based on you picking YES as your answer. But say you happend to chose NO. Then your outcome would be different and what the psychic told you would be totally off base.

Now think of your day and how many choices or decisions that you make in that day. You make alot, don't you? So with all of those choices and possible directions for your life to go, there's really no way that a psychic could be THAT good.

That's why going to a psychic isn't good for specific type answers that you might be looking for. Some psychics might be good for future health or relationships questions, but for anything specific, they're mostly not.

I would recommend that you go to a psychic medium. Mediums can tie into loved ones that have passed on and certain Mediums can also tie into your angels or spirt guides.

Each of us have guardian angels and guides that watch over and help to guide us to living the life that we came here to live. Your guides and angels know all about you and all of your past lives. They also know where you should be going and what's coming up for you in this life. You can discern your life's purpose and why you're here.

So, if you're looking for answers, then I would definately recommend going to a Medium that can talk to your angels and or guides.

And like anyything else, some are better then others. Mediums that can tell you names instead of initials are good. Mediums that can tell you odd details that only you would know, are good. Stay away from ones that only give general type information that can fit anyone. Most good Mediums really don't even want you to talk. They like feedback in terms of yes, I see or No, that doesn't fit.

You seem to be lacking selfconfidence. You are depending on others to guide you through your life, when you should be going in a direction you want to go how ever you feel. Time to stand on your own two feet and step forward. Is there something in your past that is holding you back? Why is so much uncertainty in your life??

LOL

That cracked me up.

Self confidence is something that I do NOT lack. :-) How did you come to that conclusion?

I do not go to psychics or mediums to guide me through life. LOL

I just have an interest in all things metaphysical. My initial interest in mediums had to do with my mom dying and seeing if contact could be made. From there things evolve into other areas and interests. I see myself going down that path as I'm very intuitive on certain things and it's nice to be open to all views and thoughts on life.

Being that I'm kinda in the same position myself, I decided to post on this topic. I've been spending ALOT of money on psychics lately too. I'm just getting out of a relationship and I'm still wanting him back and Lord knows I can't figure out what he's thinking or what he's going to do so, I figure, why not ask a psyhic? I've talked to a bunch online. More than I'd like to admit and I've gotten really good answers and really bad ones. In a way, consulting a psychic over relationship problems is lacking in self-confidence and wanting some reassurance. It's so difficult to see through the pain of losing someone or a relationship ending that alot of us will spend lots of money trying to figure it out only to be sucked dry and still alone. I think there are good psychics and probably people who actually do have gifts but by and large, most don't. Like Rich said, freewill has ALOT to do with the outcomes of events. No one can pinpoint exactly when something will or won't happen which is also another reason not to be sucked in by psychics. Some of the better (in my opinion) psychics have told me things have come true to a degree. Most of the time, when one of them said my ex would call, they did. Bear in mind, I called him first and he called me back, he wasn't just calling out of the blue like I had hoped. You can look at this as coincidence or as the psychic being right. When you're lost and lonely, it's really nice to hear that the one you're missing is missing you too and you'll end up together and blah blah. I don't think there's anything wrong with consulting a psychic from time to time but once it starts running your life and emptying your bank account, you have to stop. I try to use what they tell me (if I believe them) as a guide and not take it as the gospel truth. Once you start relying on someone to tell you what your life is going to be like, you lose control of it. If you want someone back, try to get them back. Don't sit around waiting for it. The same goes for jobs and money. If your intentions are good, most times it works out. That being said, if you get a good feeling about a psychic, stick with them. If they're forever telling you what you want to hear (and some will) or if you get a bad feeling about them, you should obviously stop. Also take to heart that life is an adventure. You wouldn't want someone to tell you the way a movie turns out before you've seen it so why let a psychic tell you everything that's going to happen before it does. Use common sense and set limits, that should help a bit. Remember to get out there and make your destiny happen. It's always your choice. :D

Yes losing someone is quite painful. Losing all that money to psychic is just adding insult to injury. Dealing with the pain and moving on is how we grow as human beings. It's just part of life. I would prefer the element of surprise, than know what my furture is. Psychics can miss direct you only to be let down again. Like reading horoscopes, it's just entertainment. Spend your money on yourself. YOU deserve it!

Different strokes for different folks. When it comes to the metaphyscial, there are many opinions and thoughts on the subject. It's whatever works for the individual.

Getting back to the original posting (sort of), just keep in mind that good psychics or mediums don't really advertise. When people go to a psychic or medium that's good, then word of mouth typically fills up that psychics bookings and they don't have to advertise.

The medium that I saw years ago when she first started out is now booked out two years in advance with no advertising. When theyre good, they're good. No need to advertise. So be aware of that.

My view is that going to a medium is something everyone should do. It opens your eyes and mind that there's more than just death that awaits us. Can be a life altering experience. I'd go more for a life reading than just a relationship reading. But that's just me.

Okay, I'll admit it--I have talked to a total of three psychics about this last lover of mine. And the only thing they disagreed on was that one thought he might be a lower type Libra and another thought he had very good energy.

But everything else, they were of the same thinking on.

Isn't it sad we feel the need to turn to mediums and pay through the nose for what we wish we could just know or be told?

Still, it helped me, I think. I would stick with that highly rated psychic you mentioned. She sounds pretty right on with things--if you can afford it!
