I just wanted to write this thread because I've been in a relationship for 2 years with a man who has been in combat too many times to remember, had a horrible childhood, and suffers from PTSD. The past two years have been very rough but i love him. Sometimes I think that I'm crazy because i stay with him and all the time i think to myself "you have God's gift in your hands". I've made my life about military people all around at work and home. I'm an occupational therapist at the Minneapolis Veteran's Hospital. I wasn't dating my fiance while he was overseas but i did know him as a friend and he's told me many things that he's never told anyone about Iraq. I'm sure i'll be writing about some problem that arrises with our relationship in the future but for now hello to everyone. and please feel free to mail me or write back on this post.:)

Welcome to the boards :)

I have to agree with Rich in you Welcome Post that its ok to take a break for yourself once in a while. You both are in a very stressful environment that helps better our country but not always for your health. You both are doing a good thing and thumbs up to you both.;)

Please feel free to use the boards to vent, ask questions, or even personal comfort. Think of this place as a journal....We are here to help you in anyway we can. :)
