I know he is a friend of your ex. husbad but they are friends and you don't want to go inbetween thier friendship. You also mention that you been trying and that means you have not been successful of course. Maybe this just wan't meant to be. You havn't dated in a while and thats not a huge lost but if you want to go through the dating scene again then try other stuff on meeting people like bingo nights, local volenteering, or group gathering.
