Meeting people online

First of all, let me first say that I don't spend time on my computer all the time. I do have a lot of friends in real life. All of my female friends either have boyfriends or they are not my type to date. I haven't been successful with last 2 girls I dated. So I said why not put my profile on match.com. Some girl looked at my picture and started talking to me online. We both think each other is cute. She lives about 45 minutes away from me. Do you think I, as a guy, should go see her? Because she really really wants to meet me in person soooo bad.

Any opinions or past experiences? Thanks in advance. :)

I think that it would be fine to meet up at a public place. If you are only living 45 min away from eachother, you could even take friends along to make it more comfortable.

If anything, you are making a new friend! Keep me posted on what you decide to do!

Not saying this will happen...but maybe you go to her place and she cries rape. Now your life is a nightmare with legal issues and you never even touched her. There are nuts and scam artists out there.

Try spending alot more time talking online and emails. When you are BOTH ready then try calling over the phone for a while and see how that works. After that then set up a date to meet together in a public place and see how that goes. Everything is done all in steps. You can rush into this if you like but this is just the process I would take.

how long have you known each other for? has it just been online contact? my girlfriend and i met on the internet and we made contact thru chat and phone for several months, and we both had a lot of contact thru phone with each others families before i flew across country to meet her...the point is, make sure u know that person well before u do anything...like said, there are a lot of crazy people out there. good luck

In that case then take more time to get to know eachother like I posted and try taking the steps I noted and when you both are ready to meet then do it in a public place.
