The love of my life and I have talked about getting married for a few years now, we have been together for almost 6 years. He has recently been talking about courtship, and now he has asked me to move in to an apartment with him, which i said yes, even though im really nervous, i am ready to be with him. I have this feeling like he is getting ready to propose... but i cant be sure. What do you think? I want it to be a surprise but im getting curious.

Really have no idea but it seems he wants the same things you do so things are heading in the right direction :) Either way you'll be suprised when he proposes because you don't know when that will ever be. You're happy and that's all it counts, right?

Why not propose to him?

I asked him about the idea and he told me that he doesnt want me to ruin it for him, he wants to be the one to propose and ask my fathers permission even though he knows that my father adores him :)

I only asked because some people put deadlines up because they are sick of waiting. I wanted to know hoe long you both been dating because if it was only a few years then I'd say be patient, give it time, ect. however when you're going on 5 years plus it's time to really know the direction of the relationship. I mean why waste time with someone for 10 yrs to only find out marriage is in not in their cards, right? In this case though he's taking all the steps from what you describe in moving the relationship to the direction that you want it to go so again try to be patient....lol
