Really miss him badly today

Hi Guys,

I totally cracked and called him this morning. It was actually a great phone call. I asked him how he was doing and if he missed me at all. He said he does miss me and he does love me but he is really glad to be out of the relationship right now. I think he feels relieved not to be dealing with my depression. It made me feel a bit better because he does still want to be friends. He said he has his bad times too when he feels lonely, but he thinks that deep down, I don't want to be in the relationship either and that I'm just scared to be alone.

Well, it's good that you feel better and that you had a good conversation when you talked to him. Only you can tell if you're holding onto the person for the right reason. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you want somebody, anybody, just so you won't have to be by yourself. Just try to focus on yourself during this time and feeling good about things not related to your relationship with your ex. :)

The call you got was more for a closure sake. I will say you got good healing news out of it. You didn't get the news you would have liked but you got the news that he still wants to be in contact. A friendship may be hard because you will have to seperate those past feelings but we will see what happens. I am glad to hear you are doing better though.
