So I had been dating this girl for over a year. She's a college junior, almost 21, and I'm a sophomore, just turned 20. I thought things had been going really well. I guess that wasn't true, as about a week ago she broke-up with me citing "we just don't have anything in common". I was just so in shock that I didn't really say much at the time, just listened to her and left. Everyone, I've talked to was really suprised this happend as well. I haven't talked to her since. However, I don't buy that we don't have anything in common. We are fairly different, but not polar opposites by any means and we were always able to find stuff to do together no problem... plus I wouldn't think it would take someone over a year to realize we don't have anything in common. I liked her so much, way more then any other girl I've ever dated. She had been really busy and a little stressed out with school and work right before she broke it off, but she broke it off right after all the stressful things ended.
I just don't have any idea what happened. We weren't having any problems. I guess I'm a little worried that there was something going on that I didn't know about. I don't know if I should try to find out what the real reason is or not, if there is one... I'm just confused and very sad about this whole thing... any advice/comments?
