My favorite part of the weekend was when a parent of another boy that my son was playing with came over and told us what a nice boy our son is. Right when we got to the campground my son and this other boy immediately became buddies.... riding bikes, then switching and riding each others bikes, playing at the playground, etc. They were non-stop. This other boy was leaving before us and the dad came over and told us how his son will really miss my son and what a sweet nice boy my son was, etc. And that his son really had a wonderful time playing with him. He even asked where we lived hoping that the boys could get together sometime to play again. We live too far away for that but both camp at this same place quite often and hope to meet up again. Anyways- it was so nice to hear such nice words....it really warmed my heart. Made me feel like we must be doing something right!!!

Thank You Sally.I must've gained weight with all the crap I ate such as the starches,breads,salts and sugars but I still can retain my weight after eating loads of food.I have a good metabolism. :D

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a nice long weeknd. It's sunny here!!!!!!!!!!! We were all beginning to forget what the sun looked like. I was sitting at my desk yesterday, and my manager came running in "quick come look", so I ran out and looked out her window. SHe said "there is something weird reflecting off of our cars!" It took me a minute, but I realized she was talking about the sun, lol. :D

Does anyone have anything planned over the summer?

I don't have much planned for this summer but I will be leaving in 3 weeks to go to Georgia :D Other than that my summer will consist of work & more work :rolleyes:

I go to Alaska on the 17th for a little over a week. Going to an Avril Lavigne concert the end of August. That's about it. I'd like to try and squeeze in more beach time, it seems I haven't done much of that the past few summers.

Well,I sure will 8Ball.I was just thinking to myself this morning that at this point in my life,I'm 31 years old and have well over 10 years worth of volunteer experience on my plate so I really want to stop volunteering altogether and work towards Supportive Employment or at least a part-time paying job to make money and get some income together.Like the saying goes,"I'm not getting any younger". :D

Oh I plan to. I have other friends who want to see my pics, so I am going to put them on photobucket and send everyone the address. I'll make sure to list the address when I come back for you guys/girls to see.

It won't be for awhile yet though.

I went into CVS today to see if the employer was finished interviewing people and she said she's not quite done yet so how long now do you think I should wait and is there a good chance of her calling me within the next few weeks or so to be hired? :confused:

Thats great news Howard :) If you don't hear from her in a few days then give her a call to see if she has filled the position. That would makeit look like you are motivated for the job.

CVS is right around the corner from me so calling would be a bit lazy on my part so she has my phone number and said she would call me within the next few weeks.I'll try to keep my hopes up but most likely someone would have the job filled in the next few/couple of weeks.

I started working as a waiter at the age of 15. When I turned 19 they turned me into a Hiring Manager/Night Floor Watchmen. I got this position because of my education background as Business Management. I have done my share at hiring and I will say one thing I learned is to hire the motivated people. A person that checks up a few times on an application is more bound to be looked at rather than someone just dropping off and waiting for a phone call.

When you call ask for the person you have delt with. Then give her your name and tell her you put in an application for a position. After that, ask her if the position has been filled or if she has given your application a look at this point because you are interested in the job.

Happy Friday!!!! Myself and some friends and family are going to Niagara Falls for the weekend. I can't wait. It's only a weekend but it will feel like a mini-vacation!

Canadian side- it's a lot more fun!!! There is this place called sports zone in Clifton Hill. We love it there. Stuff for adults and kids to do, so we all have fun!! And there is alcohol which is always nice (for me) on vacation!!!!!

I had called CVS again and wanted to talk to the manager but she wasn't in so I got to talk to someone else instead of the manager and I had said to her that I had went for an interview a few weeks ago to apply at your store and wanted to follow up if she's finished interviewing people for the position so she told me that the position is filled but I actually wanted to talk to the manager Liz so should I assume that the position is filled and give up or should I wait to talk to the manager in charge tomorrow or Monday? :confused:

I called on Friday and I have bad news,the position at CVS was taken so I guess for myself it's about time to just move on.At least I tried. :(

But the week after on Sunday,I filled out another application on the spot right then and there at an Odd-Lot type store called Mace's Department Store so we'll see what happens from here. :)

It was wonderful. Quick and busy, but great. We didn't leave until almost 9pm Friday so we didn't get there until almost 1am. We had to wait until my son's baseball game was over Friday night. It was a tie and since it was late they just let it end in a tie, I was glad since we were waiting to leave. My son got to pitch- it was cool!

I am pleased to hear that you all had a good weekend. I sure him pitching in that game was a big deal to him. I still remember being that age and having all eyes on me pitching. I will admit I wasn't a very good pitcher but my bat made up for my mistakes.

I will be gone to GA. on Friday :D

Doing fine here. bored!

Wish I could take a nice long vacation.

Thought I did take an almost four day vacation this past weekend. Went camping in the high mountains.

Was sooo cold there too. highs 50 low 30 and sleeping in a tent, it takes a long time to warm up the sleeping bag before you can go to sleep!

Hi Sally.It was extremely hot and humid here in New York.94 degrees and I was perfusely sweating.persperation was dripping down my shirt and almost everywhere I felt it.

Good Morning everyone! Well it was back to school here today. One went to 4th grade and one went to Kindergarten. I can't wait to get home from work and hear all about it. I can guess that my 4th grader hated it and has homework already!!! Another year of homework has begun!!! :rolleyes:

So is it wrong to wish someone would die? Someone I work with said that the exfriend is having stomach problems again.... well actually she said the cowbelly is having stomach problems again. I instantly just started laughing and said good, maybe she will die. I guess that is wrong....it just came out so easily.

She isn't getting to me like at first when it all happened. I just see her, look at her, whatever....just pass it off like I know she's a piece of shit.... My focus is still on me and my kids and what will be best. No more dwelling on that other shit!

Yes it sure is Sally.I go to see my friend every 4 months.The next holiday I'll see him again is most likely Christmas Or New Year's Eve.
