Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight on what is like to a Navy girlfriend lol. My boyfriend keeps talking about going into the navy in the next couple years. He knows I REALLY dont want him too but he also knows I would never tell him what to do or not to something he really wants to do. Does anyone have a boyfriend/girlfirend/spous in the navy that could help? lol

You may say he knows you wont tell him what to do but in reality you are shaken up by it and if this not true then you wouldnt be here. If fact you do want to tell him what to do but again in reality you cant. You have no control to what he choices he makes. You cant say for sure where you both will be in two years so for try to enjoy now and sopport personal decisions. Alot changes in two years....alot.

My late wife's second husband was a navy chief. Expect long abscences and frequent moves. Other than that, things would be mostly normal. We have two wars going on, but neither present much danger to someone in the navy. If he goes into intelligence, there would be an element of danger there, but if he has a normal navy career, the moves and abscences would be your major complaints.
