Here are the top ten worst reasons for getting married.

Reason # 1 : I've now completed my education and am settled in my career.

Reason # 2 : I want kids and my biological clock is ticking.

Reason # 3 : I believe it's time for me to settle down.

Reason # 4 : I've found someone with similar interests and I'm sure we will to "learn" to love each other.

Reason # 5 : I'm lonely.

Reason # 6 : Everyone else my age is married.

Reason # 7 : It's the thing to do at this time in my life (people my age are supposed to be married).

Reason # 8 : It's make economical sense, i.e., two can live cheaper than one.

Reason # 9 : The culture (including many religions) favors married people over single people.

Reason # 10 : I don't have many qualities that the opposite finds desirable so I might as well marry whatever man/woman will have me while I have the chance.

I shiver with fear when remembering people who have said these exact things! Good call! Why marry someone who makes you miserable because you've compromised? I didn't compromise and now my wife has the rest of my life to make me miserable :D

It doesn't always suck, most people get married too soon. When people jump into a marriage for any reason, they are marryng someone they don't really know. I have seen one marriage that lasted through the years and they dated for six years before marrying. Some might say that's too long, but they're in their seventies now and still married.

I'm not even thinking about marriage yet.I've got too much stuff on my mind.I want to worry about getting a nice full time job and making a decent paycheck to support my new girlfriend Robin hopefully in the near future.She keeps asking me If you love me,Do you see a future with both of us and I kind of hesitated on the phone for a second cause I wasn't too sure whether I do or I don't.I might possibly have a marriage phobia.Marriage is way too far to even think about right now.I've got to get my life back together and so does she.

You're right it doesn't suck unless you're married to the wrong person. When both people love eachother and work together to have a happy, healthy marriage it's a wonderful thing.
