opinions on cell phones and relationships..open or private

me and my partner have been together for a long time and we agreed that an open honest relationship was what we both wanted...well he got a new cell phone and recently has became more private about it. He set a password and has made it very clear that hes uncomfortable with me on his cell phone which wasnt a problem in the past now when i had a password on my cell phone just to keep coworkers from going through my phone he freaked out and questioned me about it but i was open and honest and and didnt see a problem about giving him the code to my phone because there is nothing that i feel that i need to be secretive about, but it seems like hes created a double standard for our relationship where hes aloud to be private and i on the other hand am not. He says i need to trust him and not worry about it. which in all honesty i didnt worry about it until it became something he became secretive about...i just want to know what others opinions were on the subject

I tend to agree with who has already posted. If he's got nothing to hide then he wouldn't go so jumpy. If he can't be honest with you about what he is keeping from you, then you're going to have a big decision to make and that is if you can really trust this guy or not.
