This may not be the correct forum for wishing Kylie well during her fight against breast cancer but as a fellow sufferer and a member of this forum I wanted to shout out my love to her and all other women suffering with this at the moment.
I was at one of her last gigs in Manchester just a few weeks ago - she's amazing.
I was 32 when I was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and went on to have a mastectomy and reconstruction. I am now four years into remission and the future looks bright.
The news regarding Kylie brought it all back to me - and I began to remember how strong I am! If you see my other thread in 'couples/it's over and I'm struggling', you will see that I have just come out of a three year relationship that devastated me.
Remembering what I've been through in the past, with my cancer, as well as successfully bringing up two brilliant children alone and having a career, made me realise that the end of this relationship is just another 'glitch' that I CAN deal with and that I will come out of stronger than ever.
I may have lost faith and trust in my ex but I have faith and trust in me - far more important!
