I was thinking about a digital camera. Me Mum covets mine fiercely. Geeks.com, can't go wrong.

My mom loves the Carpenter's so I got her a Music DVD, a greatest hits CD, and no karaoke CD.

Flowers and taking her out to dinner. My folks are in their 80s and it gets real hard to find something that either of them doesn't have but wants when they get that age...but hard to go wrong with flowers and a trip to a nice restaurant. ;)

I'll be damned if I know. Last year I wrote her a smart alec poem for mother's day. About all I remember about it is the lines
"Your kids are a bunch of brats
and they drive you bats"
She didn't say if she liked or not. I have no idea what I'm going to get her.

At that age, people are just happy when other people spend time with them. aren't they?

I'm giving my Mom a gift card for her favorite store- Kohls.
My mother-in-law died suddenly of cancer a few years ago. It was a big shock...some people still aren't really dealing with it. anyways about a year later my father in law remarried. I don't really care for this new lady that much....it is a whole involved situation. anyway- should I send her something for mother's day? Should I maybe just get a card and send it? I don't want to not do anything and maybe cause "waves" but I don't really care to get her anything either.......

My mother already gave me a very suttle hint
"You can buy me mini-binoculars for mothers day", so I guess that's what she's getting.
I'll probably get her a plant to go in her garden as well. Probably a Rhodadendrum (sp?).

a Betty Boop keychain since she's into Betty Boop memorabilia herself and collects them. :)

You should get her a little something, not too terribly nice or anything like that, but something. You would probably rather not, but it's good to smooth over the waters when you can. Particularly with people you may to deal with for the forseeable future.
My Mom past on a few years back from a cancer that came on quick.
Enjoy your parents while they're here. Even if they're pains in the asses sometimes. LOL
I often think of her and wished that I had told her more often how much I appreciated all that she did for me and how much that I loved her.
Let your moms know that you love them.
As for my wife, I'll think I'm going to get her a day at a spa. Get her away from the kids and let her be pampered. Manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, etc..
That should work. Plus I go away around every father's day on a 3 day, deep sea fishing trip with my father and brother. So it's only right that she get to get away.
