Monday 4th of July.

I was walking to the mall (not too far, am was glad that a man like myself enjoys a good walk.) I was walking on the side walk of a main road, I was about to walk past one of the exits out of the grocery store parking lot. A man in a white explorer, Looks to be about 35ish, a decent size gut, probably married with 3 kids, was about to drive away but winds down his window. He asks if I know where love shack or something else is. Confused I said I'm not sure. He stated he knew where one was but it was about a 35 mins drive from where we were. I realized that the store (Love shack) was this store in which a friend of mine often goes to. I realized thats this person is aparently trying to buy some type of videos or something to celebrate his 4th of July. He asks where I'm going and if I needed a ride. Red Flag has been thrown on the field, knowing that I dont want to be kidnapped or anything of the sort immediately said no thanks going to visit my friend he lives right over there. I knew no one where I pointed to but wanted to emphasize that I'm close to my destination and that friends are close by. He said "Oh ok . . . .cause I'd sure like to suck that ________________ of yours."

My mind must have done me a favor because I did not hear him the first time, but I knew he said something, and asked "excuse me?" He said his statement again. I was in the highest level of shock I've even been in all my life. I quickly said no thank you, walked behind his car and kept moving forward.

I had never been so shocked in all my life. I would have neve expected what looked to be, a married middle aged man to be trying to hit on, and pick up random men on the side of the road. For hours I was shocked and in awe. I'm not homophobic, but mainly was shocked that I didnt see his comment comming, not to mention the fact that you just dont pick up strangers on the side of the road, they could have a gun or knife anything.

Just wanted to share my story, I wish girls hit on me period, but was extremely shocked to be hit on by this man.

WOW.......You made the right & safe decision. With all the kidnappings, rapes, and murders these days I would have taken a look at his licenses plate and reported it to police.

seriously. Who knows what could have happened. Thats the first time anyone has every tried to pick me up, then first time trying to give me a "ride" somewhere.

I dont think any "hey. . you need a ride somewhere" stories have ever ended up with a happy ending.

This is that type of situation that you will look back upon and laugh latter down the road.

I've already started to laught at it, plus when I told my friends they exploded in laughter. Its easy to look back and laught because I didnt get in the car.
