I have just recently gotten the desire to start chatting online after a 2 year break from it. Where is it possible to actually chat in real time with real people not a bunch of o ads?

There is Aim, ICQ, and MSN. You can even join Yahoo! chat where its highly moderated from these activities. These chat groups can't stop all spammers ir related chats but you can just ignore the people causing the scene.

Do you think meeting new people though would go over well in your marriage?

Interesting point you bring up, but i am just looking for something similar to this forum but a little faster moving. I work in an environment where conversations verbally are hard to hold so a chat environment would work better for me and i get a little lonely in the course of the day. I just want to find a place i can debate the weather or whatever, i definately want to stay out of the intimate chat arena.

I brought up that point because internet chats are becoming the new thing to ruining relationships and marriages. From boards like this, I have witnessed most of the internet related failings relationships are do to these chats because one gets lonely.

It's ok to chat and meet new people but you don't want to take it to the personal level. If you start talking about your issues with your wife then you may connect with someone that could lead to an internet affair.

Please don't think I am telling not to do this. I love meeting new people but you need to know where to draw the line in these chats. I am sure you have an idea but the human mind likes to take control sometimes and venture off which can lead to trouble.

These sites or programs I have listed are good ones that I have used in the past. You can do a search to see what else is out there. My suggestion is to search up a chatroom that has your interest to a hobby or smething along those lines. If you going into a chatroom with a set topic it will be easier talking to people with that topic rather than getting to personal.

I do wish you luck & happy findings :)

You'll be able to find plenty of sites with chats on these subjects. Just do a general search of interest on a search engine and start your reasearch from there......Happy Hunting :p

This site is good for when you are bored. Read all the different threads.....add your own comments. You might even help someone else out along the way!
