A few years ago, my long-time girlfriend became very ill. She was urinating blood so we took her into the E.R. for exams and tests.. her kidneys were failing. After long discussions with the doctors about possible donors, I decided to be tested. I came out a match. Within the next 2 days the surgery was complete and her body accepted my organ. She is now currently doing fine and we are expecting our second child, Emma Marie, in November.
